St. Francis Springs Prayer Center

With authors Catherine Wilson and Linda Brown

Being centered in the midst of chaotic times can be challenging unless we have access to the strength and resources inherent within us. Using themes from her book, A Trail of Breadcrumbs, author Catherine Wilson will provide stories, insights, and practices that light our way to solid ground – both psychological and spiritual.

Special guest, author Linda Beatrice Brown, joins Catherine on this rich day of renewal within supportive community.

In “Finding Solid Ground,” Catherine and Linda will share their writing and life experiences to guide us in finding our way home to our own authentic Self and connection to the Divine. Participants will:
• Engage in journaling, participatory exercises, and sharing
• Gain insight into how poetry can enhance our spiritual journey
• Leave with tools to help us connect with our indestructible Center

Catherine’s book, A Trail of Breadcrumbs – A Poetic Memoir of Survival, Healing and Spiritual Growth, will be a foundational part of this program. Reading the book beforehand will be helpful but is not required.

You can purchase A Trail of Breadcrumbs by Catherine Wilson in paperback or as an eBook from Amazon.

About Catherine

Catherine Wilson’s creative voice has taken many forms over the past forty years. Her writing voice has appeared in published poetry, in her original one-woman shows, and in keynote presentations and workshops for conferences, retreats, and spiritual and community events.

Here is a description of her new book, A Trail of Breadcrumbs: “In this powerful poetic memoir, told with uncompromising honesty and heart, Catherine Wilson takes us on a pilgrimage through childhood trauma, the search for authenticity, and an evolving spiritual path. We travel beside her through childhood, parenting and caregiving, the teachings of the natural world, and her deep inner search for meaning. We arrive with her into elderhood with understanding, healing and the joy of gratitude. In her accompanying Guide for Going Deeper, psychologist Lyndall Johnson travels with Catherine, providing insights that support the reader’s own inner inquiry and search for home.”

This is the 2nd time Catherine has been a guest presenter for The School. We are honored and grateful to her for sharing her gifts and her heart with us. For more information about Catherine, visit her website.
