“The medicine of angels comes in quiet spaces with words we don’t always
understand. in language we have not studied. Lives in hidden corners of our hearts”
–Linda Beatrice Brown, from House of Gratitude
Friday evening, Oct. 16 | 6:30-8:30 pm
and
Saturday, Oct. 17 | 10:00 am – 4:00 pm | Lunch included
(Workshops can be taken separately or in combination.)
We are living through challenging and uncertain times, and many of us are seeking ways to stay grounded, connected, and supported as we try to navigate our way through.
WRITING ON THE TRAIL offers a welcoming space to slow down, listen inward, and discover how writing can help us find hope, inspiration, and a steadier footing on the path.
No prior writing experience is necessary – only a willingness to reflect, listen within, and explore. This is not a workshop for developing writing skills. Instead, we will use writing as a community to strengthen inner truth-telling and self-reassurance so that the ways we operate in the world are sourced from our Authentic Selves.
“We all need stories and I’m the only one who can tell mine.”
– Catherine Wilson, from Trail of Breadcrumbs

SCHEDULE
(Workshops can be taken separately or you may attend both.)
Friday, October 16 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM | “The Sacred Journey”
We will hear readings from Linda and Catherine and learn about their personal journeys with writing. There will be some group discussion and opportunity for everyone to journal from prompts that Linda and Catherine will provide.
Saturday, October 17 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | “Maps in the Wilderness”
We will deepen our writing community and create space to explore our relationships with ourselves, our experiences, and our stories.
We will explore these questions and more:
• How can language and writing help me uncover and strengthen the voice of my authentic self?
• How can writing deepen and enrich my view of myself and the world?
• What might my own stories have to teach me?
Through a mixture of writing exercises, reflection, discussion, and shared stories, we will create a safe container that provides common ground and support for our writing practices.
Financial assistance is always available. To inquire, please just email me at TheSchool.scl@gmail.com. All such inquiries are kept confidential.

Her most recent interest is in creating safe containers for groups to come together for mutual support and encouragement, personal growth, and story-sharing around navigating our current challenging times.
This is Catherine’s second time facilitating a program for The School, and we gratefully welcome her back to share her many gifts with us.
