Forward Focus is both an invitation and an intention to commit to expanding our spiritual nature of inclusiveness and creativity. This commitment is made to ourselves, our world community and to the environment.
I have recently discovered two books which are becoming meaningful in my own intention of mindfulness. One addresses inclusiveness (You Belong: A Call for Connection by Sebene Selassie) and the other is a map to creativity and self-discovery (It’s Never to Late to Begin Again: Discovering Creativity and Meaning at Midlife and Beyond by Julia Cameron).
I am interested in facilitating a “group coaching” experience for 10-12 people who are ready to shake off the dread and heaviness we have been living with for too long. In my opinion, we can only do that by going inward and then expanding outward with our creativity and our willingness to live a life of awareness and connection.
These two books can certainly inform and motivate us to do both.
To belong is also to acknowledge injustice, reckon with history, and face our own shadows. Full of practical advice and profound revelations, You Belong makes a winning case for resisting the forces that demand separation and reclaiming the connection – and belonging – that have been ours all along.–Sebene Selassie
Here’s the trip I want to take, and I would love to have your company:
• It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again: A 12-week group coaching event, meeting once a week on Zoom. We will discuss each of the twelve chapters and support each other as we progress through the morning pages, the artist’s date, the memoirs and the walks. I have been doing these assignments and can attest to the transformational value of them. This will begin in January. See registration details below.
• You Belong: A 8-week group coaching event, meeting once a week on Zoom. I find Selassie’s book to be like hearing a call to return home. It addresses that part of us which wants to belong but just doesn’t know how to make that happen in our current state of polarization. This will begin in April. Registration will be available in early Feb.
You do not have to participate in both groups to be a part of the Focus Forward Project.

There will be two groups to choose from for this Group Coaching Experience. You register for 1, but if you have to miss a session, you can attend the other one. This way, you won’t fall behind and you get to know more people.
