A Zoom Workshop Facilitated by Samantha DiRosa
“We do this work not solely for our own healing,
but also to make us capable of responding
to the critical needs of our times.”
2020 has passed. But many of us still carry the difficult cargo that is our individual and societal grief from a challenging and painful year – the weight of acute losses which the pandemic has brought; feelings of rage at the injustices of centuries of oppression and violence against people of color; the remaining uncertainty and lack of collective ground as we move into 2021.
These experiences congest our individual and collective hearts and deserve to be heard, witnessed and supported. We invite you to join us for this important and timely gathering.
In our long story as a species, the sacred work of grief has always been communal. While being together in person is impossible due to COVID, through Zoom, we will create a circle of healing where we will honor our pain and unburden our hearts.
In this 4-hour program, using the tools of writing, body-centered practices, and ritual, we will:
• Work with our sorrows to compost them into fertile soil
• Share our deep emotional selves to bring us into the arms of the sacred
• Explore gratitude, the antidote to grief, as a ballast during times of uncertainty
Date: Saturday, Jan. 30
Time: 1:00 – 5:00 pm, EST
Cost: $60-$100 / Pay what you can in this range. If you need financial assistance, please let us know.
