With Ken Frazier and Laura Santana
Can we find peace in a world that seems overwhelmed by political, cultural, and ecological threats to our lives? Our health? Our well-being? Our planet?
At this level of threat, our world is far more perilous than the world of the shepherds watching over their flock when an angel appeared and said, “Fear not! For behold I bring you good tidings of great joy.” But is it? The ultimate level of all threat comes down to threat to the individual. Is our situation now so vastly different than theirs was then?
What message was the angel giving those shepherds that could be as true for us today as it was for them in their far less complex world?
“Fear not! For behold I bring you good tidings of great joy.” Fear not. Trust me. Peace is
How serious are we about having peace? Is it more a wish than a strongly held commitment? Could this be the “acid test” to our commitment for peace? “It doesn’t matter what happens, my goal is the same – peace.”
This 3-hour workshop, we will:
• Examine the process of choosing peace by looking at the role fear plays in diminishing our experience of peace
• Identify the belief system of fear that underlies all non-peaceful choices
• Explore the inseparable ingredients of peace: trust, belonging, interconnectedness and faith
