Creating a New Myth: A Book Study on The Return of the Feminine and the World Soul by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee
Facilitated by Linda Beatrice Brown with Marilyn Wolf
Six sessions, Tuesdays starting February 4
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
In this 6-week book study, using Sufi mystic LlewellynVaughan-Lee’s book as our foundation, we will explore the connection between the survival of our planet, feminine wisdom, how we understand gender and behave as men and women.
- How do we move our consciousness into a different paradigm?
- Can we learn this new way of being in time to save our rapidly dying planet and species?
- Why is the Feminine important in reshaping our relationship with ourselves and the world
Vaughan-Lee helps us probe into these questions which are at the heart of our critical need to heal the planet and write a new story about ourselves and our world. He tells us that without the Feminine, nothing new can be born, nothing new can come into existence – we will remain trapped in the patriarchy and materialism that is desecrating our souls and destroying our planet.
Through his lyrical and compelling writing, Vaughan-Lee brings deep insight into our current dilemma as residents of planet Earth. In his view, the world is a spiritual being, and “because we have denied the world its divinity,” it is only feminine wisdom that will save the planet and its living inhabitants.
Our study will examine how the mystical and divine Feminine holds the key to the necessary work of redeeming our souls, awakening to a new way of being, creating a new archetypal myth for survival, and participating in the transformation of the consciousness of the world.
